As someone who is exploring the Active Adult 55+ age restricted extended stay rental business, I wanted to find a place that was different from the senior housing I remember from years ago. That’s why we decided to network with larger independent living buildings in the area, and one of the places we visited was Bella Vista Gracious Retirement Living in Asheville, NC.
We reached out to introduce our project, and Tiffany Jones, one of the facility managers, invited us for a tour. And wow, we were pleasantly surprised! The place was nothing like the senior housing I remembered from before my grandmother passed. It was more like a fine hotel than an apartment building.
The dining room looked like a formal event was going to be held, but that’s just their normal setup. They serve three meals a day, and snacks are available anytime. The best part is that they offer full-time transportation services for residents to get to doctor’s appointments, shopping, and restaurants. And if residents need physical therapy or other professional services, they can come right into the building.
Bella Vista also has a guest suite for visitors, which is a great perk. And the price is unbeatable — for around $3k a month, they include everything, even meals. We were so impressed that we almost can’t wait to move in ourselves!
